As the blurb mentions, this is a historic pub and full of character, super for few drinks and a meal. On weekends it does get busy but you will get a table if you wait long enough. Often you may have to share a table, but people don't seem to mind if you ask to sit down. Very friendly and welcoming place, the locals are excellent.

The Cat & Mutton in Broadway Market is a historic London boozer that grew up in conjunction with the nearby market, and has since undergone an extensive renovation to make it one of East London's most popular hang-outs. They have an extensive beer list which features a good mix of ales and lagers, and also serve a menu of artfully-crafted food that's miles ahead of the bog-standard beer-and-burger pub grub on offer elsewhere.

the best thing about this pub is sitting on the pavements outside on a sunny day. you tend to spill into the street which features a great market on a saturday. good for people watching, the service can be generally slow but the location right on the fields makes up this!
