Last night I attended my first Secret Supper Club experience at the lovely Fernandez and Leluu's in Hackney.

The night was in association with Trusted Places by Yell, out on in aid of The Jamie Oliver Foundation, complete with food all prepared by Simon Fernandez with the assistance of two chefs from Jamie Oliver's Fifteen restaurant in Old Street.

The evening took place in a beautiful living room in a secret location in the area. Along with a number of competition winners who took part in the Trusted Places reviews draw, I joined a number of other bloggers and food enthusiasts for a very tasty evening.

Sitting on a table in someone else's living room is quite an odd experience, but when the wine is flowing and the room is buzzing with excitment it doesn't seem to matter. Plus Leluu and her team made us all feel most welcome.

Although Jamie himself was not there, there was an array of sponsors making the night a little bit more special. Prosecco from Follador and Naked wines, an independent wine maker, provided all the bottles!

We ate eight courses consisting of sharing platters of wonderful delights. We had sushi, tomato and snow pea soup, becon and cheese puff pastries, and some wonderful tasting oxtail.

A lovely dish of white fish soaked in lemon was prepared from sustainable fish sponsored by Broadway Market fishmongers, Fin & Flounder. Fifteen suppliers Habour & Jones provided some other ingredients as did the East London Steak Company.

The food was all prepared in the kitchen by Simon, who designed and prepared the menu, and two of the chefs from Fifteen.

Overall it was a great evening, and it was great to be part of one of the brilliant underground Supper Clubs Fernandez & Leluu's.
