A new East London secret supper club has launched in Hackney, welcoming diners into their living room in a bid to create a unique dining experience.

Uyen Luu, owner of Love Leluu Boutique in Carnaby Street, has teamed up with avid foodie, Simon Fernandez and opened up the doors to her home in Hackney to create a ‘pop – up” restaurant in her living room.

The Fernandez & Leluu Supper Club was launched this month and offers an intimate dining experience, "like being at someones house party."

Uyen Luu said the duo's passion comes though experimenting with food, varying menus and feeding close friends.

She said: "Our food is the best part of our underground restaurant combined with the atmosphere we create.

We have put all our love and passion for combining the two into this as we feel that there is hardly anything like this around.

We truly want people to enjoy eating and having spent an evening at our restaurant making wonderful memories."

Every week at the Supper Club, a different menu will be on offer, reflecting the owners' love of food and travel. From Uyen’s native Vietnamese to Simon’s Spanish Tapas, all the food is home cooked.

Other around the world themes include The Secret Italian Job,  Autumn Lamb Banquet, Eastern Halloween (Japanese, Vietnamese & Thai), British Bonfire and The Spanish Inquisition.

There are around 6 - 9 courses including dessert.

Uyen said: "We have only had high compliments to all our dishes, coming back clean."

Guests are wowed as they enter their setting and seated among a collection of vintage and modern crockery and furniture.

As well as being welcomed to hang out in the kitchen, guests explore old celluloid cameras, darkroom equipment and the 16mm film edit machine, graffiti the bathroom mirror or sit on the garden sofas exploring its toys, potted plants and making friends with all the other guests.

A unique and intimate dining experience is happening at Fernandez & Leluu. Uyen added: "You bring your own wine and you eat what is given to you - but you eat well – like in a good restaurant."

You can also book to have your own private party at the Fernandez & Leluu Supper Club. The food is all handpicked from the freshest ingredients and they try to be ecologically sound to the environment and use local and seasonal products.

Uyen said: "We are offering up to 9 dishes, plus cocktails for £30 - thats a good deal no?" Sounds like a bargain to us!

All events are posted on the blog, and reservations are being placed up to 8 weeks in advance. The suggested donation is a minimum of £30 per person.

The location is in London Fields between the station and the town hall, but is only revealed once a booking has been made.

Bookings can be made via email fernandezandleluu@gmail.com, or through Facebook.

This place looks great, there are loads of these "secret" "underground" restaurants popping up recently. I'm not sure I would be brave enough to open up my living room to diners, but good on them!
