London Overground have announced planned closures, affecting Dalston Kingsland Station, for February until May.

The closures, which takes place from Saturday 20 February until Monday 31 May, will affect the trains between Gospel Oak and Stratford.

London Overground say this is to enable the frequent running of longer trains with increased capacity and reliability across London on time for the Olympics in 2012.

These works will have a knock on effect on other Overground services during peak hours - please see further information for details.

Off-peak services will remain largely unaffected however there will be no service between Richmond and Stratford most weekends until May 2011.

London Overground said: "We urge passengers to always check before they travel, as details of these closures may change. Posters with detailed information will be displayed at all stations and station specific leaflets detailing alternative travel arrangements will be available from your station shortly after."

A replacement bus service will be provided. For more information see the leaflet provided by London Overground.
