Commuters in Hackney face a difficult few months, as main stations on the overground closed this weekend.

Stations such as Dalston Kingsland, Hackney Central, Homerton and Hackney Wick are now closed for 14 weeks, due to engineering works.

The London Overground line between Gospel Oak and Stratford will be closed until May 31.

Travellers are being advised to find alternative routes to work and rail replacement bus services will be running instead of the overground trains.

They will operate every 20 minutes from Monday to Saturday and every 30 minutes on Sundays.

A timetable has been published on Transport for London's website www.tfl.gov.uk
