Dalston carers will receive a royal visit tomorrow when Princess Anne opens their new Hackney centre.

Her Royal Highness The Princess Royal will be visiting City & Hackney Carers' Centre in Tyssen Street on Thursday at 10.50am to officially unveil the new premises.

She will be greeted by Diane Abbott, MP for Hackney North and Stoke Newington, and Councillor Jonathan McShane, and speak to staff, trustees and carers about the support offered by the centre.

The Princess, who is president of The Princess Royal Trust for Carers, will also unveil a plaque to commemorate her visit.

Mary Julian, Chair at City & Hackney Carers' Centre says: "It is an honour and a privilege to receive such a prestigious visit, and the staff and carers are very excited about meeting Princess Anne. We hope that her visit will highlight our new centre which will provide support to many more carers in Hackney."

Carers can get support by contacting City & Hackney Carers' Centre on 020 7923 8750 or by emailing info@hackneycarers.org.uk.
