EAST LONDON'S ONLY SATURDAY NIGHT ROCK CLUB!
FIRST SATURDAY OF EVERY MONTH
@ The Alibi, Kingsland High Street
From the ashes of the popular DAD'S NIGHT has risen a new rock beast RECORD CLUB. Taking over the Alibi, which Time Out described as the “naughty kid brother to the Dalston Superstore”, on the first Saturday of ever month RECORD CLUB will be East London's only dedicated rock night.
With E8 being the current go-to postcode for the weekend RECORD CLUB is the perfect post-X Factor entertainment brought to you by the DJs behind Dad's Night (The Alibi), Iron Knights (Shacklewell Arms), Hard N Hairy (Camden Black Heart) and Grindhouse (The Devonshire Arms). The brainchild of heavy metal promoter and movie publicist Marek Steven and magazine editor Louise Brown, RECORD CLUB is the antidote to both unfriendly rock clubs and the riff-phobic sounds emanating from the clubs and bars up and down the popular Kingsland Road strip!
“Rock music has become so fractured and we at Record Club wanted a night that was all about fun, good time, old time classic rock. No one should ever be too embarrassed to dance to Status Quo, The Sweet, REO Speedwagon or Heart. So we started a night where the drinks would flow and the tunes would flow harder,” says co-promoter Louise Brown, who runs the new rock magazine Iron Fist along with Marek, who as well as running the successful Skill Wizard nights across London also plays in upcoming hard rock band Amulet.
RECORD CLUB launched in October to a packed out crowd until 3am. They're returning on November 3rd with some great guest DJs, more rock classics than a Top Gear compilation and the best times anywhere in London that Saturday night.
TUNE IN, ROCK OUT!
