The Silver Ghosts (http://tinyurl.com/95nbup2) are a 7 piece swing ensemble performing numbers that evoke the hot, breathless and high spirited dance gigs of the 1920s, 30s & 40s. They have performed their energetic repertoire at The Royal Albert Hall and The 100 Club as well as prestigious jazz venues and swing dance club nights around London. Last year they were lucky enough to record a session for the BBC at the beautiful Art Deco premises at Bush House, just before the BBC moved from there to their new location.

The band will perform a mix of high spirited and forgetten winners together with songs that you're sure you've heard before, but then you're not quite sure adding two or three familiar faves for your listening and dancing pleasure.

The Servant Jazz Quarters is a cool, popular venue with a great atmosphere and reasonably priced cocktails; a compact, cosy place with some space to dance and swing out so bring yer leather soled dance shoes and felt fedora for a modern day boogie woogie...

"Imagine walking inot someone's house, but the house is a place full of fairy lights, strange sculptures made from junk, and kitch artifacts. imagine the sides of the hallway have been removed so that you can peer over to watch the band or the disco happening in the basement. Then walk forwards, buy a lovely cheap cocktail from the hilarious staff, and then walk down the stairs to said basement and PARTY!"
