Dalston's favourite nightspot of the moment, The Nest is celebrating its first birthday on Friday 30th September, and Saturday 1st October.

The Nest was launched in October 2010, and since then the basement club space has played host to some of the biggest names in forward thinking electronica. From Erol Alkan and Simian Mobile Disco to Todd Terje, Aeroplane and Julio Bashmore, The Nest's consistency of huge line-ups at reasonable prices has led to its positioning as a bastion for credible dance music in East London.

To celebrate the year which has led to The Nest being famed for amazing electronic artists, sell out parties and trend setting concerts organiser said it 'only seems right' to put together an amazing bill of talent on Friday 30 September and Saturday 1st October.

The Nest said:

FRIDAY 30 SEPTEMBER

Our first birthday gives us cause to welcome back Redlight to the decks, an artists whose stock has sky rocketed in the past 12 months and whose influence on the ever-evolving UK Bass movement is immeasurable. From his funky focused, heavy bass collaborations with the likes of Ms Dynamite and Roses Gabor to his more recent Roller Express project with Toddla T, Redlight's sets are full of hard

hitting, shake-your-batty selections that are sure to bring the party vibes.

With a unique sound, Melé is capable of delivering on every level - from progressive club music to deeper minimal productions interspersed with deadly deep subs. It's Melé's rhythmic inventiveness, and virtuoso touches that really set him apart. With support from dance music mainstays such as Sinden, L-Vis 1990 and Brodinski, Melé's got the perfect formula and we're overly excited to hear

him take over The Nest's soundsystem.

With the support artists' influential tastemakers in their own right, the party's going to be hype from start to finish. We're welcoming Night Slugs family member Lil Silva with all his flouro-bright synths, funky inflections and uncompromising kick drum as well as the rising star to come out of SBTRKT's debut album. Sampha, a skilled and soulful producer and vocalist in his own right, gets ready to lay

down all his jazz inspired, emotronic deliciousness on The Nest's 1s and 2s.

SATURDAY 1ST OCTOBER

The Saturday event sees our weekly electro/indie/disco Lemonade party taken over by Hervé's Cheap Thrills imprint. Arguably the biggest line-up Lemonade has seen all year, we welcome longstanding Nest friend, producer/songwriter/DJ Hervé to headline proceedings. Famously intent on championing new, young talent, Hervé has put together a wide-spanning bill of exactly who we should be watching towards the end of 2011. He will be joined by the club funk and house focused talent of Reset!, whose releases on Cassius Records and Cheap Thrills have blown critics' minds and whose stock shows no signs of slowing down this year. Nest first timers, C.R.S.T., are also on board to bring the hardnosed Birthday bass.

The four, South Wales based producers whose influences bridge garage, house, hiphop and drum and bass are known for their genre spanning sets and low end, drum machine-heavy bass productions. With support from Cheap Thrills' brainchild, Baxta, and LA based electro pop band

White Arrows, we'll be rolling into The Nest's second year with a bang.
