Trip Kitchen is an exciting new restaurant and bar launching in Haggerston, East London and headed-up by Selin Kiazim (former Head Chef at Peter Gordon’s Kopapa restaurant).

Located within a beautifully converted railway arch on the enchanting Regent’s Canal, the restaurant and bar design showcases the venue’s heritage with the original brickwork stunningly lit throughout.

The kitchen and bar are decked simply in raw wood cladding and the restaurant seating has a cool Skandi-feel, picked out with bright colours for casual, all day dining.

Having flown the Peter Gordon nest earlier this year, Selin Kiazim has curated an exciting Modern Turkish menu, inspired by her Turkish Cypriot heritage and taking inspiration from around the globe with Mediterranean and Middle Eastern flavours and ingredients.

Trip Kitchen is situated near the foodie hub of Broadway Market and is open throughout the day for lazy weekend brunching, lunching, late night drinking and dining. The menu offers small plates for sharing, bold flavours and innovative seasonal dishes.

Brunch dishes include Brown Shrimp Kaygana, a Turkish omelette with preserved Lemon Hollandaise, Cemen Crumbs, Chives & Pecorino Cheese, and a deliciously decadent Smoked Streaky Bacon Toasted Sandwich with Selin’s acclaimed Medjool Date Butter.

Lunch will feature interesting sandwich combinations, such as Creamy Garlic Mussels with Leeks & Rocket with Guindilla Chillies. Dinner will feature tapas-style plates including Spicy Red Lentil Köftes and Pomegranate-glazed Crispy Lamb Breast with Yoghurt.

Trip Kitchen will serve Caravan coffee, fresh juices and a carefully designed drinks list featuring both classics and bespoke cocktails with ingredients to complement the kitchen’s menu.

Selin Kiazim says:“My new menu at Trip Kitchen features Turkish-fusion dishes, with flavours inspired by my travels around the globe, as well as my friends and fellow chefs.

“It is exciting to be in the heart of Haggerston, an up and coming area which we see as a real crossroads for food and culture. We want Trip Kitchen to be an exciting space for guests to enjoy at every time in the day, from brunch right through to lunch and late evening dining.”

Trip Kitchen is part of Trip Space Projects, a cultural, creative space for contemporary movement, devised theatre and dining experiences, launched by Giuliana Majo, Montse Ventura and Peter Fiala.
