Arcola Youth Theatre presents... Once it’s over the audience will cheer

Why do we treat youth theatre as something inferior, as worthy but unprofessional and with a message less poignant and urgent than that of other, more adult theatre?
Once it's over the audience will cheer
Why do we create theatre for young people that is at times condescending, and at others ignores them?
Why not put young people onstage and let them speak to us?
Over the last 10 weeks, Arcola Youth Theatre has been working towards a promenade performance that will take over the whole theatre. See 60 young people
flirt with the boundaries of what is real and what is not, what is theatrical and what is not, and explore what matters to them.
